| There's a nice set of wall mounted manacles in the toolset. If anyone's good with beam effects, I'd really like a pc with the right object (say a set of keys that are tagged to that specific manacle or group of manacles) to be able to click on the manacles and secure them to a pc. Largely to be used for torture/roleplaying sessions, as well as restraining criminals by the city guard.
Thoughts on the how-to of it? | |

| After further thought I think I'm going to make the wall mounted manacles faction-specific, where a person has to the faction keys that every faction member will have to his or her faction in order to unlock the manacles. Opening them will allow the player to retrieve an item that can be used on a player to lock them to that specific manacle. Now if I can just get this beam to work properly. | |

| well after much digging, i've found the problem.
The VFX_BEAM_CHAIN apparently did not get brought over from NWN1, as the files for it are not in the toolset.
I'll put this project on the back burner for now, as it appears I'll have to make several of my own files to make the beam.

| contrary to my previous statement of giving up, i pushed on and made a working rope beam :-). I'll make the chain tomorrow or late tonight, but the picture is in the dropbox. I am rather proud :-) | |

| is anyone any good with making sef files? I have the beam but it's not particularly obvious that the player is tied up and i'm looking for a solution to demonstrate that... | |
