To help avoid corruption the module is still in directory mode. Below are instructions on how to put it on your computer.

Quote :
take the folder called "the module" and COPY (don't drag) it onto your desktop.

COPY the folder named Rookroost to the same mydocs/nwn2 location, but put it in the Campaigns folder.

There is a folder called ROOKROOST MODULE. Copy it and put it in your mydocs/nwn2/modules folder. Rename this folder to "Rookroost".

take the contents of SERVER HAKS and drag it to your mydocs/nwnw2/hak folder.

take the override folder and empty it's contents into your override folder.

put the rookroost.tlk file in the tlk folder in your mydocs/nwn2 folder

the module should now be selectable in the game and in the toolset (go under file>open directory and browse for it to open it in the toolset, just select it from the campaign list in game).

I may be hosting a server sooner than planned just for you guys to look at it. It will be a true alpha though, and have little more you can do than explore.

There is now a rookroost.mod version of the module in the THEMODULE/ROOKROOST folder on the dropbox for those of you who wish to view it via that method, but please please please don't edit it and send it back to me. Exporting .erfs and importing them back into the directory mode is a good way to corrupt the work that's been done so far :-\.

Are people trying to load the module or the campaign?

IIRC, you are supposed to go with the Campaign if taking a SP approach.

Campaign mode is also used for PWs, to track individual reputations (otherwise all pcs would have the same reputation, bad news!).

I've gotten different reports but have yet to pinpoint the problem.

Finally got the mod to work in NWN2. Had to clear out the haks, and add the .tlk file to my root NWN2 folder. Also got it to open in the toolset. bounce

I will check it out and get back to you!
