The Quick and Dirty

The server's opening game year is 590 CY. This is seven years after the invasion of the forces of Iuz. Also, go out and get yourself a copy of the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer if you'd like some really in depth story on the area, it's a great read for what's going on in Greyhawk at the time of the server (Especially a good resource for anyone wanting to branch out and take the server to other areas, such as the Free City of Greyhawk or the Blasted Lands or anywhere else that suits you).


The city of Rookroost initially planned to resist the invasion by the forces of Iuz, but after watching the kingdom of the Midlands get crushed by Iuz's invading forces, it offered itself as an ally to the Old One's armies to save itself. Now, seven years later, it has faired far better than most in this conquered land.
